410 feet jack-up legs: This comes into play when looking for a rig that is safe and versatile, comfortable in as shallow as 18 feet, but able to access some of the most promising prospects at closer to 300 feet deep.
Advanced BOP and Safety Systems: AR1 has two BOP stacks rated at 10,000 and 15,000 psi, which exceeds typical pressures for the Inlet.
4 Cranes: Allowing AR1 to quickly load and move equipment.
Excellent Riser Tensioning System: Helping AR1 to avoid damage in the strong currents of the Cook Inlet and surrounding area.
Clean Safety Record: The previous owner of the rig is one of the largest rig operators in the world and has verified that the rig has been well maintained and operated.
-10 degree steel rating: AR1 rig has the required American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) certification for use in the North Sea.
High Variable Deck Load (exceeding 8,800,000 pounds): Ensures that all the needed equipment can be maintained on board, even when weather or other logistics may limit supply boat access.
Cantilever Capabilities: The AR1 can also be used over existing platforms for workovers and perform plug and abandon operations.
North Sea Experience: The North Sea has ice flows and strong currents that are similar to those found in the Cook Inlet and other offshore areas in Alaska.
